The aim of the Balance in Business Initiative is to engage and inspire current and future leaders as to why Balance in Business is a Business Imperative. The focus is on how to implement it and to recognise the tangible value it creates.
This is a fully volunteer-led initiative run by INSEAD alumni who are passionate about addressing gender balance. I’m both a board member and a judge.
On Wednesday 4th June the Awards Dinner was held at the IoD and BiB celebrated the outstanding Companies leading the way in gender balance, at the Exco and Direct Report levels.
Three new awards were added to the original 4 Awards from the last two yeas:
Outstanding Progress Award – for companies demonstrating remarkable improvement over three years.
Sector Excellence Award – Recognising leaders within their industry
Honour Roll Award – Celebrating sustained impact from previous winners
Trailblazer ExCo & Direct Reports (FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and Private Companies)
Best Overall (FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and Private Companies)
Best Strategy (FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and Private Companies)
Most Impact (FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and Private Companies)
I had the honour of awarding the ‘Outstanding Progress Award’ to the Co-op who were the winners, this has a personal significance for me as both my Grandfather and Father worked for the Co-op, my Father being a Regional CEO.
