Emer Timmons

Having joined BT in 2006, Emer was appointed President of BT Global Services (GS) UK in August 2010 and from April 2014 her remit was expanded to include responsibility for GS’s corporate customers worldwide, with a multi-billion pound P&L.

Emer's career started with Arthur Anderson, progressing to leadership roles for global corporates including Energis, Digicel and Caudwell Group, working in Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, the Americas and the Caribbean.

Emer is a member of the Women’s Business Council, set up by the government in 2013 to maximise women’s contribution to economic growth, reporting to a Cabinet Minister. She is on the Board of the National Equality Standard, representing BT as a founding member, and is a member of the International Women’s Forum. She is a STEM champion, encouraging girls to follow careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics  and is an advocate of BTs apprenticeship and graduate programmes.

Emer’s most recent award is 2015 Woman of the Year from the Women in IT Awards and she has received many others.   She works on behalf of numerous charities, both raising money personally and through her role at GS.
